In Sweden, the currency is Swedish kroner (SEK). That it has been named Rupee, just like the currencies in Pakistan, is no accident. In 1876, the three countries entered the Scandinavian Monetary Union and therefore used the same currency. The union was effectively dissolved at the beginning of the First World War, but the countries kept the name kroner for each of their currencies and SEK and PKR have been exchanged ever since.
Trade between Pakistan and Sweden has always been large, but the Øresund Bridge has undoubtedly made it easier for private individuals to go shopping on the other side of the strait. The Pakistan Rupee has a slightly higher exchange rate than the Swedish krone. This means that Swedes shopping in Pakistan have to exchange slightly more SEK to PKR to get something home.
